hud  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2
by: Mickelus [More]

hud

Configuration can be accessed with /hud

Most things should work now exept changing animations on health and power bar, left and right block and settings for runes/cp.

Clicking the top left and top right corners of your screen should do the same thing as clicking your playerframe and targetframe.

Known bugs:
-health and power bars may act strange/show inaccurate values when their values increases and/or decreases rapidly
-combo points may not show when changing to a target that you already have combo points on

I belive a video would explain the addon better than a picture.

1.2: Fixed bugs with target power bar(texcoords and UNIT_DISPLAYPOWER)
1.1: fixed some sort of bug I think.
1: Fixed bugged bars!

9: Colors for targetbars, target health changes.
8.1: Fixed bug! loelz
8: Implented some sort of interaction thing, toc bumped.
7: Fixed bugs from release 6.
6: Added condition based fading and profiles.
5: Range checks should now be fully implented.
4: Added a castbar, or more like a castring.
3: Left, right and bottom bars should now be able to track buffs/debuffs.
2: you may now use the sweeping animation on the healthbar. Now using .zip . Does not yet use blizzards animation system (me so slack). toc bump.
1: Initial release

You have something changed in the code to make it look as such. Were the frames you have oUF_Darnation or oUF_Tarnation? I'll send you a PM with my exact code and that way you can compare it and see where the error in yours lies.

PM sent, Skunk.

Thumbs up Did

Chronos give up on his tinkering cause some of his modifications i am seriously looking forward to, the compass, is hot..

and mick teasing us with the night rider was just wrong...

the compass, the animated health bar, the color coded enemy if you added a symbol of the target class in the empty spot on the right, and make the aggro color of the mob.. i would say this would be the best hud by far. Its already beating icehud and dhud by a country mile. O well cant wait to see where this goes its already starting in a good direction.

Good job Guys

Oz

The "knight rider" thing works, just click the sweep "button" in the health bar options =).

Values or % for target

I DLd this while back and messed with it a bit, i have to say its a very seksi look, however i couldnt find options to enable hp/mp values or % for your target. i really do love the look so much but i am often raid leader and need to know basics like health %s for enrages and such. also maybe a good idea for empty slots you have there. perhaps combat timer of something of the sort. i know DBM covers enrages but the actual time from start to finish of combat might be just a fun additive(assuming its possible). in any case if either i skipped over the value option or its just not added yet i would def recommend this to my entire guild especially rogues and DKs

Right/Left block options

Maybe use both of them to indicate aggro, faded not in combat, green good and scale all the way to red indicating you have aggro as dps. Than made the reverse for tanks green you have aggro and are gaining a lead/not losing it, scaling to red meaning you lost aggro and some poor dps is about to get one shot because he cant find his threat drop button.

I'm curious; is there a way to resize the HUD? So that it can be a bit further away from the character, rather than being more or less wrapped around him/her?

Folji: click the general button on the right side of your screen, then you should be able to scale the hud.
Seph351: I'll concider that.
Prismatech: The config is load on demand, if you have some sort of addon manager addon that may be messing it up.
Kanugga: No, I don't think you can change anything related to the target yet.

This latest update seems to have broken something. When I call the settings mode with /hud I only get about half the options.

'general' is also missing from the far right.

Worked fine for me.

I may need to tinker with this a bit... I haven't been big on huds since TBC was first released, but it's so shiny that I can't resist.

Idea for the two top segments - Proc notifications maybe? I could see using them for stuff like Taste for Blood and Clearcasting, which don't necessarily need timers but are useful to see when active.

Would it be too much trouble to add buff stacks to the combo/rune segments, and hopefully add multiple aura tracking to the aura timers? For example, Battle + Commanding Shout cast by self on one bar.

Edit: For buff stacks, I mean either stacking buffs like a priest's Shadow Weaving, Lifebloom, stacking debuffs (Sunder Armor comes to mind), etc.

I had this same problem upon updating to the latest version. It was giving me some error about the variable "buff" being nil or something.

Fixed it by deleting the hud saved variables. Seems with the implementation of profiles, saved variables probably got a bit screwy and incompatible maybe. Hope it helps.

Ohh, right. Thanks. Didn't notice the General button at first (was right off to the side of the screen among some other UI elements).

EDIT: Is there some way to get the HUD to include the pet as well (health, power, buffs, debuffs, etc.)? Tried setting the left and right bars to "pet", but that didn't seem to have any effect.

And it would be nice of there was some option to change the size of the text. Playing with the HUD scaled a bit up, and the text looks a bit bigger than necessary.

Sounds sensible. I'll give it a shot.

I knew I forgot something! I made so you can show/hide buffs and debuffs.
Try typing this: /run hudoptions["default"]["buff"]={1,1} or /run hudoptions=hudwipetable . Note that the latter(?) will reset your settings.

No, you can't include your pet yet and no, you cant resize the text.
