oUF Lumen
Before I used oUF and started writing my own layout and small addons, Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer were a big part of the functionality of my UI. Since then I tried to cut down on the number of addons while trying to retain its functionality. oUF_lumen using the power of oUF tries to accomplish this by creating a customized set of unit frames tha replace Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer while being light and functional.
Compact config: https://i.imgur.com/34Yilqx.jpg
If you're interested in my UI it's here.
This is a PERSONAL Layout. What this means is that most of the functionalities will be implemented because I need it. I can eventually add some features If I see the utility in them, but I will never change the layout radically or add unnecessary and complicated features just because. The beauty of oUF layouts is that there are plenty for all tastes and it is easy to customize if you want to dwellve into code!

Now your questions: 1. No, it's being spawn, no matter what. But I will add options to disable any Frame in the next build then. 2. Go to wowhead.com and seach for a spell that you want. For example, the Moonkin Proc Shooting Stars. It's this the link. http://www.wowhead.com/spell=93400. See the number in the URL spell=93400? 93400 is the SpellID that you want. Easy. Add a new line to the whitelist and see how other spells are formated. It's always the same. SpellID then Name. Profit. 3. I think there are some bugs with the headers of oUF and OMF. Can't do nothing about that as I'm not the author of omf. I think it will be fixed eventually. I don't know a way to know X and Y position ingame. You can try /framestack, but that won't work well since specifics frames are anchored relative to specific places (Player is anchored relative to the Center of the Screen but others might not, Raid is position to the Bottom Right of the Screen, etc...). X is Horizontal Position and Y is Vertical. For X Positive values mean to the Right and negative to the Left. For Y, Positive is up and negative is down. Generally if you position a frame and don't see it, it's generally out of bounds (out of the screen). As a rule of thumb, put x=0 and y=0 and you should see all frames, in wierd places most likely, but you will. Using an addon like align is good to position them. Put some values and reload the game (/reload) and go from that, it's trial and error basically. Can't help you much more than that. 4. Sorry this will never happen. The point of "most" of oUF addons is to be light and simple. While I don't think this layouts or oUF should be only for cody savvy people (and that is way I have add a s**tload of options, I don't need 99% of those options If I would only do the addon for myself) you still need to have a basic understanding of how for example, position works. Doing some kind of in-game options would be putting too much fluff to the addon, increasing it's weight, specially because it would need some additional libraries. There are some other leightweight Frames like Shadowed Unit Frames that accomplish this. oUF is different in that sense. That is why this will always be LUA Edit based only. Anyway, hope this helps you to configure you the way you want. I would also recommend every time you upgrade my layout to save your cfg.lua first so you don't lose all the configuration. After you can open the new cfg.lua and just change the values that you want looking at the old config file. While I answered to you, I hope this post clarifies more people with the same doubts. And don't worry about your typos, I'm not an English speaker myself and I'm sure I do my worst to try to assassinate the language! :P I'm Portuguese.
On another subject. There is a bug with the Blizzard API that makes any addon spawning Header Frames (Party, Raid) to take a big hit in performance, and work miserable bad. If you hover the tooltip over the Party or Raid Frames you will notice that it flickers. It doesn't register Clicks all that well, so if you are using an addon like Clique you are pretty much scr**ed like I am. It's a matter of patience to wait for Blizzard to patch this. It happens with any oUF or other Raid / Party frames addon. Just saying if anyone would ask. - greven

first of all i have to say this is the best addon ( layout ) i 've ever seen its colors shape abilities etc etc just like i wanted and like i configured my previous UI's ( like pitbull, classtimer etc etc ) its light and just perfect. and i have a crappy old computer so ur layout does everything i want with a lightweight and fast way.but i m kinda new in ouf so i got a few questions;
1- is there a way to close "pets target" cus i couldnt find it 2- i somehow manage to add some spells on bartimer but there r still some skills i wanna track so how can i find the spellID's to add it. (googled a couple of them but it didnt work for some reason. and some just worked perfect so i think the spellID i found wasnt correct, or m i missing smthing ? do i have to write the ID or can i just write the spell name? ) 3- i tried the omf to move some frames but i cant use it for raid frames, party frames and castbars. so is there a way to do it. i also moved them on cfg file but its rlly hard since i dunno the X and Y horizon properly ( ps: is there a way to learn the X and Y point where my mouse stands so i can edit the cfg file ) 4- and do u have a future plan to do the config from interface menu for ppl like me 8) or maybe some lock/unlock option atleast to move the bars freely PS: sorry for my bad English and typo ^^ |

The reason I'd want to move pet is I shift the rune/shard/holy power frames to down below my power bar, and I need to shift the pet frame about 3 pixels downward to fit them in there with a height of 4. It basically looks like a slightly older version of ouf_lumen, before you moved those frames in between self and target. As for the totem bar, I just meant that there isn't one. The frame doesn't spawn at all. Hopefully that's the problem you found |

Regarding oUF_Totem, it works well on the Cataclysm Beta with the same addon, I can't try on live as I dont have a shaman. But it worked fine for me. And the totem bar doesn't what? Show up? EDIT - I found where the problem is. I'll fix it in the next Build.

I can't seem to get the totembar to work properly. I've updated ouf_totembar to the newest version available here on wowui (I think...it's still fairly old), and tried with all other mods disabled. All your other bars work fine before and after I mess with the positioning, but the totembar never does. Any idea what's going on?
And I'd highly recommend putting in pet_x and pet_y into the cfg.lua to make it easier to move the pet frame around. As it is it's a bit of a hunt trying to find the bit of code where the pet frame position is defined in ouf_lumen.lua |

The nickname that I use regularly on the Internet is greven, but it was taken here, so neverg is greven backwards.
Lumen is just the name of the Layout, it's a name I like, it means Light in Latin, it's also the IS Unit for Light Density. Kreoss is the name of my first char on WoW (a Rogue on Quel'Thalas). I've moved into another server now and started with another char, a Warrior... named Krap! Anyway, glad you guys like the layout. I've started it after I found that Pitbull was too limiting for the stuff that I wanted to do. I started using oUF_Hypocrisy but I changed it so much that I decided to scrap it and start over my own layout. I didn't know anything about LUA but since I have some background in programming (C, C# and PHP) I went to read the manual and reverse engineer some layouts from (zork, p3lim, haste, Dawn and Hypocrisy) I grabbed the concept and started from there. Anyway, it's cool more people think it's useful. It's still a WIP, still want to implement more stuff. Keep checking back for updates.
