Sin UI (ElvUI Edit)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0a
by: schwalby [More]

Hello Everyone -

Here is my current version of the UI that I have been using since the xpac rolled out. There may be some kinks as I was trying to delete a bunch of profiles to release a few days ago and ended up copying over my profile. The how to videos below are good enough, but if you have any questions my discord is open: https://discord.gg/jnGWg35Mc5

I did not include my interface folder, but I did include all of my addon profiles in the WTF folder.

The main addons you want are:

ElvUI - Must download and install in order for UI to work.
Shadow&Light - Must download and install in order for UI to work.
ElvUI_mMediaTag - Required for Tagging in Unitframes
Details
Plater
Kaliel's Tracker
Weakauras
Farmhud
Xct+

Current 9.0 Gameplay

SinUI Install Process UPDATED - Here is a video of things that can go wrong and how to fix them when trying to install.

Updated the READMEPLS file - Please read it

---

My goal was to utilize ElvUI as much as possible, with the fewest amount of outside addons possible. While still being able to obtain a vast amount of information in game.

There is a small process to get it to load correctly. After spending two days trying to get the installer to work, there will be no installer. Please be sure to read the READMEPLS file. It will detail how to install properly.

This download does not include ElvUI, ElvUI_Config, or Shadow & Light. Please see the readme file on where to find the correct link.

Please note, I did not make any of these addons. Many thanks to all the wonderful authors who spend countless hours of work to enhance our hours of gameplay.

If you have any questions, you can post on the addon or reach me on discord https://discord.gg/X2gPjzk

Thanks!

I am not really expirienced with addons, so it would be nice if you could help me to figure this one out

thanks
Glad you like it! I meant to add a secondary profile for this that has everything shown like I did with the initial layout. In my haste to get this out this morning it appears I forgot to add that profile in there. Here is where you can find the Import code. I recommend watching the video of how to import/export profiles if you are unfamiliar with this process.

Edit: If you are looking for the bars to show for the "Sin UI" layout, type /ec ->profiles ->Existing profiles-> "In Plain Sight". This will give you the layout with all action bars and unitframes showing.

Legion issues

Having issues with the bottom bar profession ranks covering up the artifact power bar. What plugin controls all of the bottom menus so I can customize them myself? I wasn't seeing any options anywhere for this.

The bottom bar is called "XIV_Databar" - This is customizable via .lua script, if you choose to do that. You may need to update the addon if you haven't yet.

What's the best way to update an from an existing version? Just copy the Interfaces folder? Will I run into any problems if I install official copies of some of these altered plugins over the top of your edits? DBM, XIV_Databar etc.

Also, thanks for making this, really like how it all looks and only had to mess with a few things so far to get it just right (Nameplates can show up wierd initially, but I think thats cause of Blizz edits mostly).

Theres a few answers to this, depending on what you want to update. If it is just the addons, you are free to copy over the interface folder. This will just update the addons, most of the profiles are kept in the WTF folder.

However, the last few updates (with my UI) involve changes in the WTF folder. With the addition of the full view layouts and the secondary layout. With any change(s) to the WTF folder, I recommend saving it to another folder/renaming it and then going through the initial process over again. With this being said, if you have your own modified version of one my layouts, you should export the profile to a notepad file previous to any updating. This way after you finish setting everything up you can import your existing profile and minimize any additional work.

Now that Legion has launched, and all your addons are updated. The easiest way (if I release another layout) will be to just import that profile into your Elvui using the Export/Import tool. I would get very familiar with this, it is a great feature.

I have setup a github, where I can post all my Profiles that I have exported. This way you can avoid the trouble of the dreaded READMEPLS file and just import the profile. I have also included in the .zip folder the .txt version of my export file which you can import as well.

Looking ahead to the future, I hope to be able to add an install button so that setting all this up will just require you pressing a button in game.

It really is my pleasure, I'm so happy with all the interest that has been generated so far!

It appears the XIV_Databar has is customizable in game now. You can access the menu by going to interface ->addons -> XIV_Databar

You will want to go to party and raid options and in Text format box type something along the lines of what I have in this image. If you hover your mouse in the box it will open a tooltip to show you syntax. i.e. :short/:medium/:long

That is the "Uberaura" bar, which is WeakAuras. If you want to disable it, you can open up Addons and just Unload "WeakAuras" and then reloadui.

Need help, not sure what i did wrong.

Followed this instructions exactly:

[3] After you paste the folders, you must rename the folders contained in WTF ->, Account -> [ACCOUNTNAME], [SERVERNAME] and [CHARACTERNAME]. Be sure to check to make sure everything is correct!

[4] Once you have completed the renaming of the files, go to http://www.tukui.org/dl.php and download the latest version of "Elvui". Extract these files into your Interface->Addons folder. (This UI will NOT work if you skip this step!)

[5] In character selection make sure that you enable all the addons, and check off "Load out of date addons".

[6] Once you Login this is where it gets a bit tricky (bear with me, I'm working on getting a working installer. I'm not a proper coder by any means (if you are hit me up!)).
6.1- Select "ElvUI Chat" - This will disable the chat for Elvui.
6.2- After the reload Skullflower's Installer will load. Do not click "Install", just skip it and click "Finish".
6.3- Once the reload finishes, type /ec. This will open up the "ElvUI" ingame menu.
6.4- Go to "Profiles". Click on "Existing Profiles", then select Sin UI.
6.5- Hit "esc", go to Interface-> Addons-> Prat. Select the "Sin" profile.
6.6- Type /de options, go to profiles and select the "Sin" profile.
6.7- Type /xct, go to profiles and select the "Sin" profile.
6.8- Type /dbm, go to profiles and select the "Sinorita" profile.

And this is what i got:

The chat is not working correctly as well as a few other things.
The unit frames & Action bars are also not working like they do in the video / screenshots.

Any suggestions?
Really love this UI, great work.
Really wanna be able to use it.

Thanks for the assistance.

Hey - sorry about that. The Readme is a little outdated. There should be a CINUI profile, that should be the one you are looking for.

Can you explain a little more your issue with the chat? I can't quite see from the SS the issue.

Edit: Some how the old README file was put in the .zip. I've updated the download to have the correct read me file. Sorry again for the confusion!

Ok downloaded and followed the new instructions.
Here are the 2 issues im having.

#1 - Chat tabs // Not sure how to make them go away?
Ive never used Prat before, couldnt find a way to make it look like ures.

#2 - items in the right corner will not position properly.
Should i just move the xct text around some how?

Thanks for the assistance. Just coming back to WoW so im rusty on the UI stuff.

Much Appreciated.
