Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

I think I've found an odd 'issue' with Clique but I'm having trouble pinning the exact problem down so here's what I know upto now.
I use Clique for healing and have done for ages - don't know what I'd do without it really so many thanks for the hard work! I do a LOT of BG PvP atm and I'm using Pitbull Raid Frames as my main 'click target'. What I've noticed is that mid-long-combat (I'm a Paladin - it can go on a LONG time!!) I often start to get 'Spell is not ready' messages when I'm trying to throw heals (e.g. Flash of Light) - which, given I'm not casting anything else and heals have no cooldown other than the GCD, is weird. The spells I'm trying to use are set for Ctrl-leftbutton/rightbutton - and they continue to "Spell is not ready" until I release Ctrl and press it again... It's weird - the only spells I have set to click cast which have cooldowns are on Alt-combos - all my ctrl and shift combos are instant spells with no cooldowns - so why it would be trying to those those I've NO idea. Perhaps I'm confusing it switching modifiers so much (I have shift-ctrl and shift-alt and alt-ctrl combos even!)?? All I know for sure is that mid-combat I often have to release all keys and reapply them to get spells to actually cast... Any ideas - I realise there's not a lot to go on... |

Code:
#showtooltip Lifebloom /console Sound_EnableSFX 0 /cast [help, nodead] Essence of the Martyr /console Sound_EnableSFX 1 /run UIErrorsFrame:Clear() /cast Lifebloom Code:
#Lifebloom That being said the system works incredibly well and is simple enough for most people to use which is quite an accomplishment. My challenges are likely unique to how I play and you just can't please everyone. Thanks for your prompt reply. |

Not really no. That icon is purely for your own purposes and making it dynamic using the macro system would be more pain than its actually worth. The first line of the macro should give you the information you need to distinguish between them. That being said, I'll look into what can be done.

I am unable to use the "buttons" along the bottom the the Clique menu.
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...008_175855.jpg This picture show that there is no "Options" feature available on my screen. I am also unable to click on any names on the bottom of it. I just want my Left Click to be Remove Curse, my right click to be Abolish poison and Shift + Right Click as Rebirth. I only want these functions to work when I hover over the Grid frame, nothing else. |

Hi Cladhaire, thanks for creating and actively supporting such excellent work.
I have a few questions regarding the use of Macros, and believe it or not the answer is not [target=mouseover]. :-) First, when using a macro, is there a way to explicitly define the icon in any manner other than selecting it from the scroll list? I can never find the one I want and I was thinking it would be easier to use something similar to what you use on a macro like #show Lifebloom Second, what is "Macro Index"? Third, is there a way to change the "title" shown on the bound macro button? For instance I have a macro on LeftButton but it shows as "Macro: /Sound_Enab" (the first line of the macro) rather than anything informative. Hopefully these are just simple things that I've missed somehow.

Re: wont use down rank spells in macro
Not possible, but we'll get to that later.
Clique is not your issue. The default user interface has no way to bind a specific spell or macro like a key binding. If you're using another addon to do that, then talk to them. If you're trying to do it in the default user interface, such as: 0. Disable ALL addons, period. 1. Create a macro with the following (on a shaman as a quick test): /cast [target=mouseover] Healing Wave 2. Drag this macro button to default action button 11. 3. ALSO drag this macro to default action button 12. 3. Open the key bindings interface and find the keybinding for action buttons 11 and 12. 4. Bind mousewheel up to action button 11 5. Bind Button4 to action button 12. 6. Save the key binding changes and go back to the game. Now, hovering over the default player frame, scroll up with the mousewheel. The spell will correctly be cast on the player. Now, try Button4. It won't work. The unit frame is a "button" and thus intercepts clicks. Mousewheel up is not considered a mouse click by the game, and so it treated normally. Button4 is eaten. Now, find a guard in town. While hovering over his actual character in the 3-d world, mousewheel up. It'll cast Healing Wave on them. Now do the same with Button4. It will ALSO cast Healing Wave on them. This is exactly WHY Clique exists. In the above example, the bindings are everywhere and will happen anytime what you assigned isn't handled elsewhere by the UI. Instead, Clique sets up bindings on a per frame basis so you can decide exactly where and when that behavior happens. There are no "traces" of Clique sticking around.

Clique broke mouseover macros ?
I have a problem that I believe has to do with having had the Clique addon installed before
My mouseover macros bound to buttons clique can use (mousebuttons 1 -4) will not work unless I set them up in Clique I want them to be available in the standard interface I have deleted the Clique folder in /interface/addons and its still a problem To be more clear I have Regrowth bound to mousewheel up .. mouse over party or raid frame .. it works I have Lifebloom bound to side mouse button (mouse button 4) .. mouse over raid or party frame... doesn't work The macros are exactly the same except the spell names The only work around is to set them up as Custom macro binds in the Clique addon interface They will not work unless set up in clique Won't work with Clique disabled in addon menu or deleting the folder in Interface/addons Is there any way to completely remove all traces of Clique other than completely deleting WTF and Account folders? (Therefore setting up all my addons again) |

Does/Can Clique work with Aloft?
First, thanks so much for your excellent addon! Works great! I'm sorry if this has been asked or addressed before, but I couldn't find the info else where. Does Clique work with Aloft? If not, could it? Is it technically possible?
Thanks! |

Hi.
I have a minor issue with Clique that has been bugging me. It makes it so that my extra action bars do not auto-hide but i have to reload the UI for it to happen. I have tried with only clique and no other addons, and from a clean install. Anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks |
