Simple Light Data Text v9.0.2
SLDataText is a lightweight addon based on text based modules, which can be moved & customized independently or globally. It includes LibSharedMedia support for expanded font selection, and various degrees of mouse click interaction on various module frames. It also supports user-created plug-ins to expand on the module selection beyond what is included in this package. Plug-ins can be as vast or as tiny as desired. Included is are custom libraries (LibSL-1.0 and LibSLTip-1.0) that are used for module configuration menu management and interactive tooltips.
Each module can be positioned independently via dragging and placement can be fined tuned via the configuration menu. Fine tuning includes manual frame anchoring, text justification, X/Y value tweaking, and frame strata value.
Each module has an independent configuration menu, and the AddOn has a global menu to handle unified font types & sizes. The following modules are contained in this package:

I'll do what I can to create a "minimal" mode with a toggle option.

Answer #2: Tried it like you said but it doesn't work. Location bar still shows up (although without any text inside). It seems like Chinchilla is hiding it but when SLDT loads it just makes it visible again (even with Zone Text module disabled) Think you know what this might be about? Thanks again for your answers! |

three small bugs:
the "Clock Format" feature - the one that lets you customize the time display - is very bugged. strings that should be valid freeze up the game (and don't work), or simply display the wrong time additionally, the "server time" display doesn't add a 0 in front of minutes under 10 (6:09 is displayed as 6:9, 12:03 as 12:3, etc) and finally, I keep getting "You are not in a guild" messages every time I zone in or out of a zone. disabling this addon removes the problem, so it seems to be an issue with the GuildList module (I have it disabled) thanks, this addon is great -- also, sue: chinchilla and SLDT have always had some weird syncing issues, since they both hide/unhide the same elements I have the chinchilla zone text completely disabled, and just use SLDT for it

Regarding Chinchilla: I will do some extensive testing this weekend to debug the issues with Chinchilla while retaining the basic functionality of ZoneText. Expect an update over the weekend that should somehow either fix, or work around the issue.
Regarding Colors: This is on my to-do list, however it's on the back of the list behind bugs that need to be handled. Clock Formatting & Issues: I'm aware of the Server Time minutes bug, will be fixed in the next release. The issue with the date() not returning "should be" valid variables is annoying, and an issue that's been around a while (I've heard Prat has similar problems with it's timestampe). It's not actually SLDT, it's the date() within the Blizzard environment returning certain variables as "Too Long", causing an error. I don't know why this is, and I'm trying to troubleshoot it. This seems most prominent with full string returns (ie. %r, %T) from the date() API. This is the first time I've used this method in the clock (previously handled hours & minutes mathematically instead of from date() returns)...so bear with me. Memory: I'll be working on a "light" mode for the Memory module to try to...again...tackle the stutter from large AddOn counts. I may issue this as an embedded fix with no options (ie. AddOn count is higher than 60, automatically goes into "light" mode). Since I cannot reproduce the stutter, it might take a few attempts through release to fix from user feedback (ie. getting the right number of AddOns, judging on Memory instead of AddOn count, etc). Again, bear with me. Thanks for all the helpful feedback so far, and keep it coming! |

An "Anchor To" field to accompany the "Anchor From" field would be *extremely* nice. Things that are anchored left to right seem to work okay, but top to bottom I'm forced to add a bunch of y-offsets that should be unneccessary.
Also: the friend/guild list is pretty freaking huge. Options to trim it down would be great [I don't care about levels, notes, and ranks, for instance]. An option to only show the list if you hold down a modifier key would also be convenient. Otherwise, I'm liking it so far. |

If the issue with Friend/Guild list tooltips is during combat, simply use the "hide in combat" feature so you don't accidentally mouseover them when you're in combat. Modifying the tablet tooltip size is something that can be done, and I'll possibly add an option for that in an upcoming release. Thanks for the feedback |
