Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:

Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
Contain a relatively minimal feature set
Be easy to use
Be stable

It includes the following features:

10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
A movable experience/reputation bar.
Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show, and at what opacity.
Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
Masque support
LibKeyBound support
Sticky frames (FlyPaper)
The ability to move buttons in combat
A movable casting bar (optional)
Configurable right click targeting
Configurable self cast key settings
Configurable Possess/Override/Vehicle Bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:

A stats bar
A minimap bar
True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:

To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.
Hold down alt while moving a bar to disable sticky bars

...and this is why I wrote it:

I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.

You can use the following to add extra functionality:

tullaRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
Masque - Allows you to change the look of buttons
AdiButtonAuras - Adds buff and debuff highlighting + duration text

Hrm, I think I misread your post initially. OmniCC adds text, Dominos should darken things normally.

After doing research it looks like just the dk ability "strangulate" does not update the default ui and thus dominos and omnicc.

Try playing around with the possession bar. Make sure whichever bar you have as the possession bar is not hidden.

ButtonFacade allows you to change the skin of Dominos if that is all that you are using StellarBars for; the link is present at the bottom of the Addon Info tab of Dominos. If you must use both addons, you may have to give a more detailed error report.

Im using ver1.8 of dominos and latest omnicc, when I get hit by say strangulate, counterspell, spell lock, silence, etc, my bars stay the same and look usable when they are not. Its hard to tell when the cc is off. Besides not greying out ( or changing color at all) omnicc doesn't show any timers when locked out. Either one working would be great.

I looked into the options and don't see anything I can change?

This functionality is not included in Dominos. To accomplish that, you need to write an addon that determines when you have been counterspelled, and then sets the opacity of a bar based on that event.

I know for pve its kinda pointless but for PvP it would be great to see visually what school your locked out of and for how long since there is now so much cc in the game.

Would you be interested in adding this to dominos or omnicc? I thought the default bliz bars already did this but I haven't used them in so long. Wouldn't there be a simple command like "action unusable" that could be added instead of hand writing all the specific spells?

Including last night at the start of Naxx ) go into your keybindings and unbind "Previous action bar" and "Next action bar". If you try to zoom in/out while holding shift, it'll change to a (probably blank) page, and unbinding prevents this from happening. Not 100% sure if this was the cause of my problems, but I think it's pretty likely to be the culprit. Hope this helps. EDIT: It happened again tonight in Naxx... Action bar 1 is invisible but I can still use and click abilities as if they're there. If anyone knows a fix for this please let me know. Last edited by shobu : 01-25-09 at 08:04 PM.

Negative.

Blizzards memory handling, or maybe ACE libs?

I'm running with a different actionbar addon now that I don't like as well as Dominos, but at least the mysterious crashes have stoped.
I think the alpha settings or something like that caused the most problems. I could see tiny glitches, hic-ups if you like, on the machines whenever a invisible bar was moused over and came out from invisible.
With the alpha setting on full visibility all the time, the crashes still happened but maybe somewhat less often. After this last patch tho, things just went totally nuts and I had no choice but to remove just about all my addons (as usual with Blizzards patches LOL). I'll just sit and wait for some updates.

The addon SpamSentry (I had to replace SpamMENot as well) is also having some serious problems, especially with calling GUI and ACE lib functions so I'm thinking this is a series of changes from Blizzards side that are giving you cool coders a hard time. Things always go

after patches, hehe.
