EventAlert  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

The addon will notify you in the middle of your screen with an icon, name of the spell that has procced, the time left on the proc and will make a subtle sound. EventAlert is also able to handle more than one proc at a time (this option was not available in previous versions).

I am not fond of addons that have very complicated installation and setups. The mod should work on install without any config, but if you wish to change any options use the following command: /ea options

Quick Backstory: I created this addon as a test for myself as my first "from the ground up" addon. Most of my coding in WoW LUA was taking other addons and just fixing them so they work from minor bugs or whatnot.

Anyhow, I needed a mod that was lightweight and did only what I wanted it to do, and that was warn me when one of my spells or talents procced something I needed. Thus, EventAlert was born. There are likely to be bugs, explosions and not so good things that may come from this mod. I'm sorry in advance! If you find a bug, please let me know so I can fix it.

Also, if anyone finds a spell/talent/etc that they want watched, please let me know and I will add it!

sword and board is not working in latest version ad also in primary the spells can not be turned off .

Well right now I am using a beta version of Ghost Pulse, and it allows for Button Facade skinning. Its more of just a visual appeal, I am anal when it comes to everything matching :P Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when something procs.



As you can see, it does the same thing as EventAlert but allows me to skin it with button facade, and I likey that :P One thing I don't like about this beta ghostpulse is that it doesn't stay up like how EventAlert does, it just 'pulses' and I like eventalert moreso for the functionality rather than the looks, but I was just curious to ask you if you could add this feature just for cosmetic sake.

It's not that I don't want to add support, it's more that I don't totally understand what would change in EventAlert since the proc is just the icon of the spell and nothing more.

What exactly would it change?

Button Facade is a skinning addon that skins your action bars, and some other button addons that authors allow support for.

elune's wrath

hi,is it possible to track moonkin T8 4pc set bonus??
buff is called Elune's Wrath.
proc is kinda broken right now as casting starfire consumes it rather than letting us use the next starfire as an instant cast,but is still of some use on movement fight and i would love to be able to track it in EA as i use that for notification of all my other druidy buffs.

That's why there are options for it.

It's disabled by default to begin with anyhow.


Edit: Just to clarify... all the abilities like Rune Strike, Overpower, etc... are disabled by default. I never intended for EA to actually track these abilities, but with the sheer amount of requests for them, I decided to add it. But I didn't want them getting in the way of the mod's original intentions... hence being disabled by default.

I would recommend disabling Rune Strike by default. Pretty much every DK that uses Rune Strike has it macroed into their main attacks. There are a lot more DK's who will disable this alert then leave it enabled.

In the newest version of EA, Serendipity should only be showing on the 3rd proc. If it isn't, something isn't working right.

Do you have the newest version and it's still proccing every time it's up and not just on the 3rd proc?

I made a personal change to EventAlert because it was too spammy for me.

That being said, I love it a lot. I ask that you make this change though. Serendipity is not exactly a "proc" anymore -- every flash heal or binding heal will cause it to occur. However, it is VERY useful to know when it hits 3 stacks. So what I did was adjust EventAlert so that it only pops up Serendipity whenever it has 3 stacks up.

It was actually accidental, but it worked. I removed the following lines from EventAlertSpellArray:

I thought this would remove Serendipity altogether, but it actually made it so that it only shows up at 3 stacks (even better ). I'd propose putting this in the official version too; it seems to work a lot better for me.
