Depending on what those slash commands actually do you may not need to change them. If, for example, "ve" is a short cut for selecting the menu item for "Vanilla Events" and the menu "Vanilla Events" hasn't been removed or changed then the same short cut will still take you to the "Vanilla Events" option, it will just be the new one ... in theory.
Seeing as having the menu working doesn't depend on the shortcuts working sort out the display of the menu, then see how the short cuts are affected by the changes. If they aren't no changes needed. If they are, you have a better idea where it needs to be changed.
