Trying to make an actionbar frame, need help!

Hey guys, basically I'v got this idea to make my actionbar wrap around my character, like how you can do it in macaroon, but I also want to change the shape of the buttons, Iv included a picture for reference.

What im stuck on is:
I dont know how to rotate the icons so they are in the correct orientation.
How to modify the shape of the frame/button so that they dont overlap if I arrange them in that fashion.

If anybody could give me some pointers, I'd be very grateful

It might be easier to just leave the buttons face up and staggered around the character. May not be as smooth as what you would like but should give you a similar effect.

I have played around with this idea in Macaroon, but never got it to work to my satisfaction. However, you can start with -
