Tehryn -- can you post a screencap of that or e-mail it to me? The XP bar and Rep bar are the same width as the chat box and info panel... they shouldn't be overlapping anything unless something is broken.

TinTinGurl -- use the command '/nui movers' to enabled dragging... then you can place the tooltip where you want it. I might suggest you look at the description of nUI at http://www.wowinterface.com/download...fo.php?id=9108 or you can either check out the "ABOUT.TXT" that is in the Interface\AddOns\nUI directory or type '/nui' in game and read up on all of the available slash commands so you know what options are available to you.

Thanks for the kind word and happy questing.

Umm, you're honestly asking for UI mod help for use on emulated servers? Don't think any mod author would go to the trouble of "fixing" their mods if they don't work on emulated servers...

I started WoW again for a screenshot, and wouldn't ya know it, all was well! I will keep my eye on it though as I knew that you had fixed that problem. Sorry about the false alarm Scott

First off I love the addon. But I have one huge problem when in a 25 man raid. My frame rates drop from a normal 45-60 fps to 1-3 fps. I run quite a few other addons, xpearl for the raid frames, cartographer, omen, recount, decursive, and Quartz just for a cast bar with an easy to read latancy timer. Everthing runs fine untill I engage in a 25 man fight, and I only get my Frame rates back once I turn off NUI. I have tried lowering all my in game video settings and also lowering NUI default frame rates, but to no avail. As of right now I have the addon turned on when I am out questing, running heroics, or in 10 mans. But I have to log out and disable NUI for the 25 mans I have been running.

Any suggestions to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated since it is such a kick ass UI, I hate turning it off during raids.

Stinkbomb -- I am aware of this issue and am working on it. I did find one large bug this week which I *hope* was the root cause of that frame rate leak, but I'm not yet certain. The update will be out sometime this weekend... we'll cross our fingers and hope that was the source of the problem.

It look quite interesting. but i must agree with a few, being minimalist in my own nature.

i swear to goodness i would go blind staring at all of that stuff over an elongated period of time.

It looks great, and effort abounds, but i am afraid i just couldn't use it.

Scott,

Great work so far(Donated to the cause yesterday, keep going!), but I think I found an issue but I'm not positive yet if it's related to nUI only or not(need to test when I'm home from work).

When I mouse over any of my skill buttons, the tooltip pops up real quick, then disappears, and doesn't really come back, even when I mouse over a mob or NPC and get the regular tooltip. I think it has to do with how the tooltips for mobs, NPCs, items like chests, etc, are routed to the tooltip anchor, but the skill button tooltips are routed to the mouse. I have slightly different sets of addons between my desktop and my laptop, and this issue occurs in both places. Just wondering if it's a known issue or not.

Then don't

For the life of me I cannot get my head around why people feel compelled to make these kinds of posts. It is unreasonable to expect that any mod can please every user. If it's not your thing, cool... but why is it necessary to tell everyone it's not your thing?

If you're a minimalist then any and every all-in-one compilation is by default not your thing. How about we get everyone who likes to have a screen full of information go to all of the minimalist UI listings and crab about the total lack of meaningful information.

It's all so pointless.

Are you talking about in combat or out? As of 4.04 nUI should no longer show action button tooltips in combat. Could that be the issue?

This will be a stupid question, but why did you even bother posting this drivel?

UI mod authors do them for one reason:

THEMSELVES

They don't write it "for" you. They don't have to listen to you. They don't win "the game" by having the most number of "users."

You posting stuff like you did just proves you're an idiot.

I have to agree with scott and marth why bother? Please go look at your own type of mods and comment on them as your input here is neither required nor wanted unless its useful criticisim or bug reports

Lightbulb Bug dealing with nUI minibuttonbag + bugSack/bugGrabber + carboninte

Hello I have seen others post that there is a drop down in their button bag and its giving errors. Also some say that they don't know what mod it is.

Well I found it, I use bugSack and have the fubar for it so have the minimap button off so did not find this issues tell I just had to install this on my laptop.

The drop down is the mini map bag button for bugSack and and some how that Sack is fighting with your bag and the bugs...hehe are trying to show up in your bag and not in the drop down list. I am not a programs person but have learn to read my bugs . hope this helps.

Also side note I have carbonite and its mini map button bar also had issues with it tell i told it to not show button on the bar and show on map. this is only issue if you have the minimap inside your carbo map. normally the minibutton will show up on top of your map unless you have the bar on, but if your using the buttonbag form nUI then they go in bag and not the map.

Hope this help you all out some how.

Hm, unless we're talking about another "dropdown" I have a button in the bag, a square with an arrow pointing down in it, that does give an error but don't have bugsack installed. Not a real problem I suppose, as I have no idea what mod it is attached to I'm sure I have no need to configure it anyway..

I'd like to sort out exactly which mod that is that's creating that drop down so I can try and sort out how to get rid of it or support it as the case may be. Anyone know what that drop down is *supposed* to do if nUI did happen to support it?

Just a side note, I have never seen that button before I started using nUI, and I don't get it when nUI is turned off...

TidyMinimap does show it as well if I use that, DetachedMiniMapButtons doesn't... (No, I don't use those with nUI or at the same time..)

Guess I could try turning mods on and off later today..

I somehow recalled someone mentioned Fishing buddy.. so disabled that and the strange button when poof... (note that FB also has a button (with a fish, who came up with that ? ;-p) that works, so the extra button seems unneeded.. )
