Fix Nui

I love Nui. I believe this is by far the best addon out there. I would however, like for a few things to be fixed. Right now I can't use Nui for any healing classes. Because of how I have my action bars set up, my mounted combat bar is all messed up. I know you are probably trying to update Nui as fast as you can I just wanted to post this out there and encourage for a Nui update.

Hmm, I haven't seen anything wrong with the mounted action bars. I've been doing the icecrown dailies for months with nUI and occulus. In what way do you mean messed up ?

I heal with my shaman and priest and use healbot. To ease my use because I can't get to grips with clique I use the healbot infopanel to hide it away when Im doing dailies in elemental spec but when I am healing I drag the healbot frame out and position it so that it appears above the dashboard but below the cooldown buttons.

How do you do your healing ?

Likewise, I have had no issues with the vehicle action bar in quite some time nor have I had any reports of problems with the bar.

Can you be more specific about the problem you're having? What version of nUI are you running (and where did you download it from)

I'm using the plus I downloaded from this site. I changed the key bindings so that the first two keys on my actionbars are empty, then the third button slot is keybinded to 1 and the fourth is keybinded to 2 and so on. When i get in a seige vehicle it keeps that key binding so that the first two moves in my vehicle bar have no keybindings. Therefore i have to click those two moves.. If i keybind the vehicle bars in messes up my normal action bar keybinding.

That's because they are all the same bar. They are not different bars and that's the same way it works in the default Blizzard action bars.

oh haha hmm.. well then its a blizz prob not the addon

anyway there are a few things like on my DK, it shows all my moves that are on cooldown, which is nice, but it also shows the global cooldown. SO that means all my moves are shown and it causes it to make two rows of moves with a 1 sec cooldown. Now this wouldn't be too bad but it overlaps ontop of my the Frist fever and blood plauge which really is important. SO basically sometimes I can't see how long is left till I have to reapply my diseases. Its a small thing but still. Also the different totem bars on my shaman: I can't change them out while in combat, however if I disable NUI I can change them using the regular blizz ui. dunno if I'm being a noob again or not

Almost forgot one more.. When I'm chatting, sometimes the chat goes over what im typing.. and I also sometimes say things twice even if I type it just once.

(your prob hating me by now...) its small and I know how to fix it but.... when I tab out of WoW and tab back in, Nui goes all white I think I remember reading about this somewhere but I dont know.

The repeat chat seems to be a blizz problem .. several people in my guild have that happen and they don't use nUI. I on the other hand who use it, in fact the 3 of us that use nUI don't have that problem at all.

The alt tab problem. I don't know what causes it but I alt tab all the time and I dont recall getting that problem much if at all. A /rl will correct that though.

The deathknight problem is known and if you change the minimum cooldown display it will stop that from happening.

The shaman problem is also known and at present I don't think Scott has identified the cause. There was a post somewhere about it more but I can't remember where it is exactly. I just make sure to change the totems before fighting and just have any totems I may wish to switch out on my action bars for when I need to use them. Not perfect but its the best we can do.

For a DK, try using the command '/nui hud cdmin 10' and that should fix that problem.

No... you're not being a noob... this is an issue in the Blizz bars that's causing any mod that tries to change the position or parenting of the bar to taint it so it can't be changed in combat. No getting around this except to use a totem addon like TotemTimers or whatever until Blizz fixes this bug.

This is a known Blizz bug with any mod that uses custom textures. There's no fix for it at present. The only solution is to avoid alt-tabbing out as much as possible and to use '/nui rl' when you do. Myself, I play in windows mode, so it's never an issue that way and the FPS difference is minimal.

If you use the '/nui hud cdmin 10' command, the DK problem will go away (I know... I have a level 80 DK I play)

TotemTimers or TotemCaddy can solve your totem problem until Blizz fixes it or I write my own TotemBar.

Personally I use TotemTimers on my shammy and I love it. Very unobtrusive and easy to use. Can easily switch between your totem sets and drop them all with a single click. Changing out totems in each set is pretty easy too.

I use a combination of the totem bar to train myself away from using the spells I have in the action bars and the totem timers to have the timer display up.
