Zoom in on Minimap?

I am trying to zoom in on the minimap in the UI panel, but I can't. I prefer the NuI map to the blizz one, but if I can't zoom in I can't see to mine! Is there something I'm missing? I looked in the NuI Gui at the minimap, but this is the addon and I can't see any config info.

There are two ways to zoom the minimap... 1) Mouse over the map and use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out or 2) use the + and - buttons on the map. I don't see a problem in the behavior of either method using the default nUI minimap, the Blizz map of the nUI_InfoPanel_Minimap plugin. I'm not sure what the issue is.

Are you using any other minimap mods? Are you using Carbonite or any other mods that might alter that minimap?

If the mouse scroll zooming is what is going wrong .. check your key binds in case it has been rebound somehow.

here is what is weird. My paladin: I have the addon enabled, I can scroll to zoom in or out, and Talented (another addon) works fine- the tracking shows distance and direction like its supposed to. I am running Carbonite, and it is fine too. Nui is not managing the minimap, and it is correctly in the UI panel where it is supposed to be.

On my druid, everything is set up the same, but the minimap is like a screenshot of the full map, I can't scroll on it. There are no buttons, and it is very small, since it is showing the full map. I had to disable NuI managing the minimap to get Talented to work, and I disabled the minimap plugin. I'm very confused- I can't see any difference in the config between these two characters. I would atttach screenshots, but I'm not sure how. If you need screenies, let me know what you need to see.

Just use the paperclip icon on the message editing window or the manage attachements button further down.

As to which screenshots. Lets first see what you're seeing by attaching a working one and a non working and we can go from there.

The first image you posted is using the "nUI_InfoPanel_Minimap" mod. The second one is not. That's the first thing that jumps out at me. The second image is using the default BLizzard minimap which to the best of my knowledge, can only be zoomed in and out by clicking on the + and - buttons on the map. The mousewheel scroll is a feature built into nUI.

Right. If I enable the minimap mod for the second character, then the range finder doesn't work in DVM/Talented. And, even if I enable it I still get the image you see here. I have no idea where the map that is showing is coming from. I have enabled the minimap mod, reloaded ui, had NuI manage minimap and reloaded UI, disabled both and reloaded UI, and tried every combination. What I can't figure out is why it workd on one char and not another.

The first character works fine with the minimap mod enabled. I can zoom in and out, I see the active mining nodes, quest givers, and zoom in works great. And the DVM Talented add on works perfectly.

I'm down to thinking witchcraft.

OK- I got it working...I have no idea what I did. I enabled the minimap mod and restarted instead of reloaded, and it seems to be OK.

Rather than use the nUI_InfoPanel_Minimap plugin, or leave the map in the upper right corner, you could disable the minimap plugin and then use '/nui minimap' to move the map into the center of the dashboard. Then you have the map with zoom and Tom Tom works too.
