I would find it interesting and somehow very funny if Blizzard decided to release Wrath on the anniversary of WoW's release just for the heck of it.

My bet is that Blizzard will try to release 3.0 about one month after warhammer release, and the wotlk another month after that.

Hopefully Blizzard will simply release it when it's ready and the first level 80 instances and raids are tested, anyone remember Vashj 1.0?
I'd also assume that this beta needs way longer testing, with BC they only added Outlands, two races with start areas and a few new abilities.
This time they revamp a few classes' attribute system, the whole ratings and spellpower system, many classes' talent trees including the existing talents, a few old abilities and their whole design concept of how to make classes be wanted but not needed in raids in addition to adding a whole new and pretty unique class that needs all the attention the other classes have gotten in the last three years and Northrend that is much heavier than Outlands are from the reports I've read.

they won't test raid content long before releasing wotlk .. they'll patch it later when first guilds begin to raid .9

Blizz reps are on records saying WotLK will be out in 2008:

"We have said that it will be coming out this year," Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime revealed in a conference call today. "I can tell you it's not coming in the July to September quarter."

If i recall correctly, they said something rather similar about TBC... blizzard has never been one to hold to deadlines, id rather wait till march or may to get a good game instead of an unfinished one.
