DockingStation (Display)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.5.26 (Beta)
by: Vrul [More]

A display platform for LibDataBroker (LDB) based plug-ins. The display is provided through panels, each having sections (Left, Center, Right) corresponding with how a plugin is justified within it.

All plugins are disabled by default and you must turn on the ones you want to use. This is to avoid the complete mess that results from all plugins being on with the first use. The only plugin on at the start is the one provided by this addon to access its options easily. Just click it to start changing settings.

With plugins unlocked you can drag and drop them to other panels/sections and have them automatically adjust to their new location. There are no limitations on the drag and drop capabilities other than the new location for a plugin must be within a panel. You may also change the location of a plugin through the plugin options menu.

Almost all sub-sections of settings have a default option. The defaults follow a set pattern. First plugins check their settings, if default, they next go to their panel's settings. If the panel is also set to default then it defers to the addon's global settings. Finally, if the global settings are still set to default, then the hard coded defaults are used.

Note: It is recommended that you delete the folder(s) for an existing addon when updating to a different version. This is to keep files that are no longer used from taking up space.

Translators: To submit a translation please just edit existing files (example: DockingStation\Locales\deDE.lua and DockingStation_Config\Locales\deDE.lua) and send them to me.

I'd like to see this addon updated. It's pretty solid but it's been a while... perhaps some skins or something idk, always good to keep things fresh.

Hope that helps you out! It's working for me.
Thanks. That's pretty much what I have at the moment. Unfortunately, I don't want the panel to appear on mouseover when in combat. Everything else works fine. I guess that there's just no way of doing this within Docking Station at the minute. I might look at Kong UI hider and see if that can over-ride DS in combat.

Just curious if I'm doing something wrong because I have never had any issues until recent with this addon. So when I select to "Move Blizzard Frames" it lowers the Unit frames on top left due to me having bar at top of my screen. Yet my buff icons don't move and I have no addon controlling those they are blizzard default. Not sure if you need more information but I have bar set at smallest Height possible and locked to the top with 1920 width with of course the most updated version of the addon running. Not a huge issue but it is hovering with a small gap on top that can be seen through and overlapping on my buff icons as well.

Traveller's Reference?

Hello. I was just wondering what troubleshooting steps I'd take to resolve my problem with the Traveller's Reference?

The last patch seems to have broken the display of this addon and it is greyed out in the plugin panel for DockingStation.

Both addons are current. I thought I'd start here.

shFPS, shFps, shLatency, shmem.

shFPS and shMem will be greyed out and unusable. shFps and latency will be usable.

If I attempt to enable shmem I end up getting a LUA error with Docking Station and Ace3.
The error was a bug with DockingStation and has been fixed (version 0.4.7).

According to the change log for that addon, the shMem plugin was removed. I looked through the code anyway and all the code for the shMem plugin is commented out.

The two entries for shFPS/shFps are most likely due to the author changing the plugin's name from shFPS to shFps at some point, and since a plugin's name is case sensitive, DockingStation is treating it like two separate plugins.

You can remove the shFPS and shMem plugins from the list if you want (right-click the name and select Delete).

I'm not sure if this is with shPerformance itself or if it's with Docking Station or if it's with the recently updated build of Ace3 but i'm posting the LUA error here in case you wanted to be aware and it had to do with Docking Station:

I just downloaded the most recent version from a previous version and for some reason, shMem is now greyed out on the list of plugins and i'm unable to enable it.

If I attempt to enable it, I am given the lua error:

Quick question. I'm trying to get a panel to disappear when I'm in combat. I've looked at the custom alpha config and tried to make it disappear using "[combat]0". I've also got it set through the other config to only appear on mouseover. This doesn't seem to be working. The bar disappears/reappears with mouseover but continues to appear when I'm in combat. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT

I had some time today to poke at things. The problem I was having came solely from the DockingStation LUA file in the WTF folder. I wiped that and everything seems fine now.
