Sometimes you get whispers and its through the battlenet name, and if you want to invite them, you have to open friendlist and invite them throuth blizzard invite button.

I am going to guess that you didn't delete the old wim folder before extracting the new one. I think that is the source of these errors, so I am going to release another version that will prevent the error from occurring even if you overlay one version onto another. I should have done this a long time ago.
