Issue with nui player/group switching

the issue i have is that when im in a group say 5 man or up when i leave it does not go back to single player window it stays as a group window in the frame the second issue i have is lately the hud disappearing and it wont let me reset the ui can anyone shed some light on these or am i just blowing smoke out my pc

Hmm, I don't recall seeing that happen in our raids but I'll take another look when we raid tonight.

The hud should be there unless the following happens:

1) You have full health and power ( whatever power it is ) and not in combat and thus utilising the alpha level to transparent.

2) You have toggled through the different hud types and have selected no hud.

If you can send us a screenshot of what you are saying it would help us identify what you are seeing.

Resetting the UI is simply the case of typing either /rl or /nui rl into the chat window and it will reload the ui. If, you are talking about removing nUI and resetting your UI to what it was then you should find only the chat window and combat log are mispositioned and can be slotted back into place. Unfortunately once nUI is unloaded it has no control over the display and thus cannot reposition the windows automatically.

First problem is most likely easy to solve. If you have nUI GUI options plugin you just go to the gui select "frames" and make sure that Auto Group is checked. Sorry, I don't remember the slash command for it.

That turns that feature on and off.

as of last two days i have had what they would call a memory hole in nui it keeps growing in mb. and don't stop and has started to cause latency issues not in the fps but in the ms and i have not changed a thing in well since last version of nui it just started yesterday and haven't had any new addons added in months what do i do and is there a new version coming out for patch 3.2??? thanks

Yes... there is a new version coming for 3.2

As for the memory leak, to the best of my knowledge, memory use has no impact on latency, so I don't believe that to be the cause of the problem you're seeing. Latency is related strictly to the connection speed (ping time) between you and Blizzard's servers and is a function of your ISP and the hops between the two end points.

I have found that sudden increases in latency have been, in my case, due to someone in the house downloading something big.

The latency issues over the past few days may be related to the Blizz patch downloader running in the background too.

What Vis said. The most recent patch bit is fairly large. But then again it totally depends on what options you have chosen for your patch downloads. If the patch downloads are causing some latency, be sure that you do not have the option chosen to download patches while logged into the game.

For those having issues with the background downloader, you can try to download the patch files from here. Just let the background downloader start and create the folders for you, then copy the files you download from the above site into them.

Works like a charm.
