How do i install the oUF addon?

Can somebody hep me with installing the addon, it shows when i click Addons inside wow on character selecting screen but once i enter nothing's installed HELP

oUF by itself does nothing. You need a layout. Get one here:

Where do i put the downloaded layout afterwards ? ( Sorry im new )

IN the oUF folder or sepperately ?

It's the same as installing oUF.

So in your AddOns folder you'd have
oUF
oUF_Layout

I figured out what I was doing wrong. For clarification:

OK so I figured out what I did wrong. I installed the "core" AddOn correctly but the oUF LS I did not. Here's why (and this might help other players):

If you click here it reads,

"IMPORTANT I'm using GitHub version of oUF, although WI's version should work fine, u'd better visit haste's page, hit Download ZIP button and get oUF."

Where the link is for the word "page" I was downloading that data and extracting it to my C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns directory. THIS IS INCORRECT - DO NOT USE THIS!

Instead, you want to click the "Download" link found in the upper right hand corner. Then you can extract that data into your AddOns directory and it works like a charm!

The reason the github download did not work for you is that github does append the branch name to the folder name, so that your extracted folder is called oUF-master. Renaming it to just oUF will fix the problem.
